Christian Family Meeting Place's Terms of Use

By using or accessing ChristianFamilyMeetingPlace.com, you agree to these Terms of Use.

 

1. Miscellaneous

1.1. The administrators hold the right to add to, subtract from, and change any of these Terms at any time. We encourage you to check these Terms periodically. Whenever we make a change to these Terms we will post them on this page and update the 'last updated' date listed at the top.

1.2. Once registered, you are required to fill out all profile fields except for those that are labeled as 'optional'. If the required fields are not filled out within two weeks after registration, ChristianFamilyMeetingPlace reserves the right to, and most likely will, terminate your profile and all your posted content.

1.3. ChristianFamilyMeetingPlace reserves the right to terminate your profile and all your posted content for any and every reason. These reasons include, though are not limited to: (1 you do not agree with the Statement of Faith posted on our home page, (2 the administrators find you needlessly divisive, (3 the administrators find your beliefs out of line with the purpose of this site or destructive to the body of Christ.

1.4. You will not register for a profile if you are under 17.

 

2. General

2.1. You may not post anything hateful, violent, obscene, pornographic, vulgar, crude, sexually explicit, slanderous, harassing, threatening, inappropriate, or that which may violate any applicable laws, or that which is a personal attack or personal insult to another.

2.2. You may not solicit personal information from anyone under 18 years of age.

2.3. Be aware that all member submitted information solely expresses the views and opinions of that user and not necessarily those of ChristianFamilyMeetingPlace.

2.4. All members are expected to refrain from using the provided services to promote criminal behavior, Biblically defined immorality, and substance abuse.

 

3. Profile

3.1. You may omit personally identifying information from your profile to protect your identity, but you may not provide false or misleading information.

3.2. For your display name, you may use your real name (in part or full), a nick name, or a pen name so long as it is in fact a name. Non-names, expressions, and descriptions may not be used as screen names; examples include: "I-M-TLL”, “Yahoo”, “Ilikeflowers”, etc.).

3.3. Your display name may not contain the words Administrator or Admin. These are reserved for the administrators and moderators of ChristianFamilyMeetingPlace.com.

3.4. Do not impersonate anyone else with your profile.

3.5. Your profile photo may not be that of a celebrity, public figure, or fictional character.

3.6. Each family who registers may create only one family profile. Likewise, each single who registers may create only one single's profile.

4. Blogs, Comments and Other Posted Content

4.1. Blatant advertising is prohibited (without administrative approval). This includes commercial, political, non-profit, and personal ads as well as any promotion of products, services, publications, or websites.

4.2. Do not be a troll.
"Troll" n. "One who posts a deliberately provocative message to a newsgroup or message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument" - Urban Dictionary

4.3. Do not respond to trolling! You may message the troll a link to section 3.1 and notify the administrators, but do not make things worse by publicly confronting the troll. .

4.4. Do not flame.
"Flame" v. A broad term describing a set of aggressive, insulting and often derogatory behaviors.

4.5. "Hit and Run" posters are not allowed.
"Hit and Run Poster" n. One who signs up for an account, posts something bold and then abandons the account.

 

5. Moderation and Enforcement

5.1. Notify an administrator of violations that may require intervention.

5.2. The moderators and administrators have the right to remove, edit, lock or move any user submitted information, including, but not limited to, account information, blog content, photographs and other posted material.

5.3. At the discretion of the administrators, consequences for violating any of these guidelines will range from warnings and suspension of privileges to account suspension and termination.

5.4. Direct all policy enforcement disputes, questions and/or concerns to the administrators. Public debates, disputes, and complaints about these Terms of Use enforcement are not permitted.

 

6. Safety

Please help us keep ChristianFamilyMeetingPlace safe by adhering to the following:

6.1. You will not collect users' content or information, or otherwise access ChristianFamilyMeetingPlace, using automated means (such as harvesting bots, robots, spiders, or scrapers).

6.2. You will not upload viruses or other malicious code.

6.3. You will not solicit login information or access an account belonging to someone else.

6.4. You will not bully, intimidate, or harass any user.

6.5. You will not offer any contest, giveaway, sweepstakes or promotion on ChristianFamilyMeetingPlace.com.

6.6. You will not use ChristianFamilyMeetingPlace.com to do anything unlawful, misleading, malicious, or discriminatory.

6.7. You will not do anything that could disable, overburden, or impair the proper working of ChristianFamilyMeetingPlace.com, such as a denial of service attack.

6.8. You will not facilitate or encourage any violations of these Terms of Use.

 

7. Registration and Account Security.

7.1. You will not use ChristianFamilyMeetingPlace if you are a convicted sex offender.

7.2. You will keep your contact information accurate and up-to-date.

7.3. You are responsible for the security of your password.

7.4. You will not transfer your account to anyone without first getting our written permission.

7.5. If you select a username for your account we reserve the right to remove or reclaim it if we believe appropriate.

 

8. Termination

If you violate the letter or spirit of these Terms of Use, or otherwise create possible legal exposure for us, we can stop providing all or part of ChristianFamilyMeetingPlace to you. We will notify you by email. You may also delete your account or disable your application at any time.

 

9. Disputes

9.1. If anyone brings a claim against us related to your actions, content or information on ChristianFamilyMeetingPlace, you will indemnify and hold us harmless from and against all damages, losses, and expenses of any kind (including reasonable legal fees and costs) related to such claim.

9.2. WE TRY TO KEEP CHRISTIANFAMILYMEETINGPLACE UP, BUG-FREE, AND SAFE, BUT YOU USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK. WE ARE PROVIDING CHRISTIANFAMILYMEETINGPLACE "AS IS" WITHOUT ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT CHRISTIANFAMILYMEETINGPLACE WILL BE SAFE OR SECURE. CHRISTIANFAMILYMEETINGPLACE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACTIONS, CONTENT, INFORMATION, OR DATA OF THIRD PARTIES, AND YOU RELEASE US FROM ANY CLAIMS AND DAMAGES, KNOWN AND UNKNOWN, ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH ANY CLAIM YOU HAVE AGAINST ANY SUCH THIRD PARTIES. WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, INDIRECT, OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS OF USE OR CHRISTIANFAMILYMEETINGPLACE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

 

10. Limitation of Liability:

You agree that ChristianFamilyMeetingPlace.com and its moderators and administrators shall not be liable for any damages, including incidental and consequential damages. This includes, but is not limited to, any of the following:
a) Loss, or misdelivery of data.
b) Unauthorized use of your account.
c) Access delays and interruptions to ChristianFamilyMeetingPlace.com
